Pia Harpur, the woman behind Studio Pia, has been quietly establishing herself at the heart of the luxury lingerie industry since 2010.
Pia's background working for a range of lingerie brands, both established and start-up, gave her the insight and broad range of skills needed to go it alone.
Today Pia oversees all departments at Studio Pia and is responsible for the business development, creative direction and design of each and every collection, including the bespoke embroideries we are known for.
THE PROCESS
Pia sketches new embroidery designs by hand, before they are developed into the digital files, and finally stitched by machine to create a beautifully unique fabric. This embroidered fabric is then cut and sewn into the garments you see in our shop.
Once the embroidered fabric is perfected, Pia will create a collection around it, taking on all of the design work and much of the technical development, ensuring each and every garment is infused with our unique brand DNA.
Pia continues her creative direction during our seasonal lookbook and lifestyle shoots, pulling together the set design/location and hair and makeup references, and perfecting each look on the model.
You'll find Pia representing the brand at trade shows, press days and pop-up shops, talking industry professionals and customers alike through the inspirations and details of each collection, and offering up her expert fit and styling advice.
